StålFe services
Industrial sourcing & engineering for EU buyers
StålFe helps European manufacturers source castings, forgings and precision-machined components from qualified Indian capacity — with a European commercial interface, quality discipline and logistics clarity from RFQ to delivery.
Why European buyers use StålFe
Traditional export routes often leave EU compliance, language, VAT and last-mile risk on the buyer. StålFe is built the other way around: a French company (STALFE SAS) that owns the commercial relationship, coordinates supplier qualification, and structures programmes so procurement and engineering teams can run pilots without absorbing every offshore friction alone.
We are not an open marketplace. We work on defined industrial scopes — grey and ductile iron, steel and non-ferrous castings, forgings, machining and assemblies — and we route serial supply through qualified partners. On this site, the only Approved Manufacturing Partner is Aquagroup.
If you are still mapping the French or European foundry landscape for research, use our educational forge & foundry directory. When you need serial India-to-EU supply with a local interface, start with an industrial RFQ.
How a typical programme runs
- Scope & drawings — material family, process route, tolerances, volumes, standards and inspection intent.
- Engineering readiness — DFM/DFC notes, tolerance realism, and RFQ packs that suppliers can quote without endless clarification loops.
- Partner qualification — capability fit, quality system evidence, and sample or pilot gates before volume.
- Production monitoring — inspection coordination, documentation (e.g. material certificates, dimensional reports) and change control.
- Logistics & EU handoff — export packing, shipment planning, customs/VAT clarity and delivery into the buyer’s European workflow.
Pilot-friendly and modular programmes are preferred over rigid MOQs that force buyers into oversized first lots. Transparent line-item structure helps finance and procurement compare landed cost — not only ex-works unit price.
1. Industrial component sourcing
Castings, forgings, precision machining, assemblies and custom manufacturing from qualified Indian partners — scoped for EU OEM and Tier programmes.
2. Engineering & technical services
CAD, DFM/DFC, simulation, reverse engineering and prototyping support that prepares stronger RFQs and fewer production surprises.
3. Supplier & quality management
Qualification, audits, production monitoring, inspection coordination, PPAP-style evidence and material traceability.
4. Logistics & project management
Export documentation, shipment coordination, customs support, delivery planning and project control through the European handoff.
Quality, documentation and trust
European buyers rarely fail programmes on price alone — they fail on unclear metallurgy, weak dimensional evidence, or missing certificates when parts land. StålFe treats quality as part of the commercial package: agree inspection scope early, align sampling plans to risk, and keep documentation pack expectations explicit before tools are cut or lots are released.
For deeper technical reading, the Knowledge Centre covers materials, processes, tolerances and procurement topics. For educational market mapping of French foundries (not a partner roster), see the directory.
EU commercial interface in practice
Buyers evaluate offshore supply on more than unit price. They need a counterpart who can discuss drawings in a European working rhythm, clarify Incoterms and documentation, and escalate quality issues without a twelve-hour time-zone lag becoming the default. StålFe keeps that interface in Europe while manufacturing capacity remains where it is competitive — primarily qualified Indian foundry and machining partners for the programmes we support.
Import and VAT handling, warehousing options in France where relevant, and line-item transparency are part of how we reduce “hidden” landed-cost surprises. Local SPOC coverage in the buyer’s language and work culture is a deliberate design choice, not a brochure afterthought.
Engineering teams often need a second opinion before RFQ: draft CT grades, machining stock, NDT class, or whether a fabrication should convert to a casting. That is where our engineering pillar feeds sourcing — fewer ambiguous RFQs, fewer requotes, fewer first-article failures.
When to RFQ vs when to research
Use the French forge & foundry directory when you are researching European capability clusters, materials and processes before a make-or-buy decision. Use StålFe services when you already know you need a controlled India-to-EU supply path with qualification gates and a named European counterpart.
Good RFQ inputs include: 2D/3D where available, material specification or target grade, annual and batch volumes, critical dimensions and GD&T intent, surface/coating requirements, inspection level, packaging, and target delivery window into Europe. Incomplete packs still can start a conversation — but complete packs shorten the path to a credible pilot.
After the first samples or pilot lot, we prefer a written lessons-learned loop: what met drawing intent, what needs process tweak, and what inspection evidence will gate the next release. That habit is how offshore programmes become boring — in the best sense — for European procurement.
What we do not do
We do not list every Indian factory as a “partner.” We do not replace your design authority or your plant quality release. We do not pretend a directory listing equals a qualified supply agreement. StålFe’s role is structured EU market access: scope, qualify, control, deliver — with a named commercial counterpart in Europe.
